Alexandra Young began her career working for J. P. Morgan in HR management. In 1995 she was appointed Head of HR for BNP Paribas Italy. She joined Lehman Brothers in 2002, where she took up a position as Head of HR for Continental Europe, the Middle East and Emerging Countries; and then took on the same role for Nomura in the years from 2008 to 2011.

Alexandra Young joined Mediobanca as Group Chief Human Resources and Organization Officer in 2011.
